I have had a busy week but managed to get in some machine quilting. I like octagonal table toppers and this nice summery fabric. This one is large, about 20 inches.
I used a You Tube video instead of a pattern for this one
I also made a square table topper and did some free motion quilting for the first time.
No pattern used, just a simple table topper to add color to your table.
Simple and not to busy. Wanted to show off the fabric which could be used on Independence Day and on into summer.
Sash is in this cute heart fabric. All the fabric used I purchased at garage sales and they are not marked as to designer.
For slow Sunday Stitching I am working on the Cathedral Quilt. Still!
My stitches are getting smaller. Good thing it is a quilt for me because as I quilt my stitches are changing so they won't be consistent throughout.
Practice, Practice Practice.
The table toppers are for sale in my Etsy shop, "Daytona Damsel" if you would like to purchase one.
Next machine piecing project is a baby quilt using these cute fabrics.
I am thinking of omitting the flower fabrics so that it will be more gender neutral. What do you think?
I am planning to use my tumbler die on my Accuquilt, making sure all the balloons are upright.
Meanwhile, back to slow Sunday quilting.

I finished my mom's quilt on Saturday and gifted it that evening. She loves it but I was ready to be done with it.
I appliqued six butterflies in random spots to cover all the errors in the quilt top. I purchased it on Ebay. There was nothing I could do to fix the crooked seams and blocks short of taking it apart and I was not about to do that. So my name will not go onto this quilt.
After this ordeal I needed some instant gratification so I made this super simple table runner for Summer.
It could even be used for Independence day.
I also worked in some landscaping out front where I had 30 year old bushes removed and ...
made another table runner for Independence Day.
All in all it was a very productive week.
In between all these finishes I also kept up the hand quilting on the cathedral quilt. It is very relaxing to hand quilt.
Have a blessed weekend my friends.

I decided to go with the butterflies appliqued onto my mom's quilt to cover those bad places.
I am using the method shown on a video by Missouri Star Company. Some I machine sewed, then others were Hand stitched.
I then ironed them to the quilt in a random order as if they were flying across the quilt.
I have never appliqued before but so far this is a pretty easy way. Of course I have to sew them down. I will try hand stitching them but may end up machine stitching if I can't get them to look right. Wish me luck.
I haven't had much time this past weekend to work on my Cathedral quilt and probably won't this week either since I hope to finish the applique work by week' end.
Enjoy your week.
