Slow Sunday FROG Stitching

Slow Sunday Frog stitching. What is frog stitching?
Well you use this tool to accomplish it.

I must admit I stole this word from someone on Facebook. She called it Frog Stitching for "rippit-rippit- rippit. ;)  LOL

This stack is why I will be frog stitching all day.
50 rag quilt squares all stitched with an X but one thing is missing. Can you guess?

Yup, no batting.

I had hoped to have this quilt finished by today so I could spend my day hand quilting my Cathedral quilt and watching Netflix.

Maybe God is trying to teach me patience. :)

I hope I am a fast learner. Hmmm, is that an oxymoron, fast and patience?

Hope your Sunday is a relaxing one.

Debbie

  4. You're probably all done by now so maybe I shouldn't say it but I don't use batting in my rag quilts.....just three layers of fabric! How did you do?!

  5. Oh, Debbie, my heart hurts over this one. Really, I just ache reading this because I've done this kind of thing myself and it brings back that yucky feeling that comes with the discovery that I left out an important step. Thanksfully, they're only "x's". Imagine if it was a more elaborate design. I love your fabric. Frog stitching is a cute term. I'm very familiar with the concept. ;-) xo ~ Nancy

  6. Oh no! I'm too lazy to unpick sometimes... I would have just made a 'summer' quilt without the batting =). Hope the frogging went well for you.

  8. Frogging is the worst. I just frogged a whole lot of machine quilting in favor of hand quilting. I am so much happier now. So sorry you forgot the batting.

  9. Thanks Cathie. I undid a baby quilt I had machine quilted and didn't like. It is still waiting to be quilted. I haven't decided on a pattern and I will probably hand quilt it this time. Thanks for stopping by. Debbie

  10. so that is why this one lady I know refers to using her seam ripper as "frogging" I was never sure why she said that and didn't want to appear really dumb and ask her LOL
